The nation’s great museums and collections own work by the same small glass studio that created this piece. They include the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institution, the Corning Museum, the Chrysler Museum of Art, and even the White House art holdings.

To arrive at such exciting results, skilled glassblowers use freehand blowing techniques. They combine tools from centuries ago with modern technology, to produce the finest work.

Pulled from a 2600° Fahrenheit furnace onto long stainless steel pipes, the liquid glass is blown, twirled, and shaped, as hot glass is applied to hot glass. In this way, fine sand from the American Southwest is transformed into handmade glass, using unique formulas of minerals and precious metals. The design is garnet-etched into the surface of the glass, never painted on.

Each unique piece is then signed, dated, and registered for authenticity.
